World record-breaking pants!

Nov 30, 2008
Positive News Issue
On the 13th November, 116 people braved the cold to gather at St. Pancras International in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people ever gathered in just their pants! We at Positive News are proud to announce that they did indeed achieve that record!

“The event was a pant boggling success…our pants were flashed all across the world…Canada, India Australia and more!!” exclaimed the Pants to Poverty team. “Our aim was to raise underwearness about the importance of buying ethically, at a time when the inadequacies of global capitalism are becoming evident. There are amazing alternatives out there and now is the time to deliver them!”

Free pairs of fairtrade, organic pants and a free shot of whiskey were distributed to all the participants, although this once in a life time opportunity to take an active stand against poverty proved to be more of an enticing incentive.

“Today has been the most liberating thing that I have ever done!” announced one of the participants. “The power to make change really does lie in our pants!”
