What inspired me? I just woke up at 5am one morning in Jan with the idea that this is what was needed and this is what I would love to do. Spirituality is the foundation of the talks with this is my passion.
For me inspirational thoughts are those that are “in spirit”, connected to our higher self, with divine energy, god like. I sense that children have this connection already but like all of us as we grow up this natural connection is forgotten and lost with the encouragement of thinking and intellectualizing. Children and young people are an inspiration to me and I learn so much from them. I think as adults we could do with regaining those lost child like qualities.
Spirituality for me is understanding who we really are – realising that our body encases a divine spirit/energy – (the word doesn’t matter) and understanding why we have been plunged into this miraculous planet. And what matters is that we live in connection with It – my revelation was that actually I didn’t need to struggle, strive, get recognised; achieve, acquire. Finding inner peace sounds cliché – but that is really what EVERTHING is about. Once you start loving the real you it all falls into place – your relationships; your health; your role, your confidence, your life! I also learnt how important living in the present moment is – so often did I think about what happened and what could happen and lost the moment I was in which will never again appear! I was always in a rush – now I ask myself why. Why do we actually need to do everything quickly?
You know when you are on the right path because everything comes to you. I found myself talking to wonderful people, they all wanted to get involved and I could spend hours "working" - I need to hold myself back and build this one step at a time.
Imagine a world where kids get this kind of inspirational education before they become adults. It could change who they become. It may make absolutely no sense to some people and that’s ok too. Kids hearing about people that have achieved incredible things against all the odds whilst being told by others that they couldn’t; or listening to people that have endured the most incredible hardship and have chosen to forgive the people that harmed them because they understood that they didn’t know any better. Or hearing speakers talking about finding our own brilliance and creativity that resides in us all.
It’s all very exciting to me.
Best wishes
